Here’s Everything You Need to Know About My Dispatch Times

Hello, following a customer's question, I decided to write this article to answer an important question.

What this article is about

This article explains my order processing time — the time it takes to prepare your order in the warehouse and hand it over to the carrier. It is not about shipping/transit time, which depends on the carrier and destination.

My contractual commitment (handling time)

Across all my sales channels (eBay, my online store, and other platforms), my contractual commitment is a maximum handling time of 4 business days after payment.

  • If you place an order on Sunday evening or Monday, it will be dispatched to the carrier no later than Friday.
  • Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

What you can expect in practice

In day-to-day operations, 9 out of 10 orders are dispatched within 2 business days. The 4-day window is there as a contractual safeguard for exceptions.

Why the handling time can be up to 4 business days

I work with a logistics partner in Hong Kong, a large warehouse network that manages my inventory. My main partner is
Batamar HK Trading Limited, which ensures fast and reliable preparation of orders.

As per our agreement, once I forward an order to them, they commit to preparing it and handing it over to Cainiao Global Express within a maximum of 4 business days.

When the full 4-day handling time might be needed

  1. Western holiday season (Christmas and New Year)
  2. Chinese New Year (I usually close the store during this period to avoid major delays)
  3. The slow summer period — which is exactly the time of year we’re in now

Outside of these periods, nearly all orders are dispatched much faster.

A real-life example

This summer, out of hundreds of orders, only one reached the full 4 business days: placed late on a Monday and dispatched on Friday morning — right at the contractual limit.

Final note on handling time vs shipping time

Handling time (warehouse processing and handover to the carrier) is separate from shipping/transit time (the carrier’s delivery journey). Transit time varies by service level and destination.
